Misano World Circuit – June 16, 2025
Pirelli’s latest supersoft development, the E0126 compound, took centre stage at Misano this weekend, delivering outstanding results in extreme race conditions. With track temperatures exceeding 50°C, the conditions were among the toughest of the season—yet the tyre's performance remained stable and consistent across all three main races.
The star of the weekend was Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, who claimed a clean sweep, winning Race 1, Race 2, and the Superpole Race using the new supersofts. The E0126 showed not only strong grip from the start but also remarkable consistency over distance, helping Razgatlıoğlu maintain pace and improve overall race times compared to 2024.
"This is an important step forward in our development," said a Pirelli Racing spokesperson. "We saw excellent feedback at Assen and Cremona, but Misano confirmed the E0126's all-round reliability—even in extreme heat."
Also making headlines was the debut of the extrasoft E0479 tyre. It set a new lap record during the weekend and quickly became the preferred choice for riders in the ten-lap Superpole Race, praised for both its speed and short-distance consistency.
The successful performance of both compounds positions Pirelli strongly for the next phases of development. With continued validation planned across multiple circuits, the E0126 and E0479 are emerging as top contenders in the future of high-performance racing tyres.
